¼ cup emulsifying wax
¼ cup shea butter
¼ cup distilled water
1 tsp vitamin E acetate
Essential oils (optional)
1 tbsp Sweet almond oil
1.In a double boiler, melt the emulsifying wax, sweet almond oil, and shea butter together until fully melted.
2.In a separate container, heat the distilled water until it reaches about 170°F (76°C).
3.Slowly pour the hot water into the melted wax and oil mixture while whisking continuously. Keep whisking until the mixture becomes creamy and starts to thicken.
4.Add the vitamin E acetate and any essential oils you want to use. Continue whisking until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
5.Allow the lotion to cool completely before transferring it to a jar or bottle. Store in a cool, dry place.
Note: This recipe makes a thick, creamy lotion. If you prefer a thinner consistency, you can adjust the amount of water used. Also, be sure to use a reliable preservative if you plan to store the lotion for more than a few days.
