1.In a double boiler or a heat-safe bowl set over a pot of simmering water, melt together the shea butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and beeswax pellets, stirring occasionally until completely melted.
2.Remove the bowl from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
3.Add the menthol crystals to the mixture and stir until fully dissolved.
4.Add the essential oil if desired, and stir well.
5.Pour the mixture into a clean container, such as a jar or a squeeze bottle.
