Pink Sweet Pea Layered Melt & Pour Soap

Pink Sweet Pea Layered Melt & Pour Soap

Ingredients
500 g White Melt & Pour Soap Base
500 g Clear Melt & Pour Soap Base (optional, or use all white base)
Pink mica powder or water-soluble pink soap dye
10-20 ml Pink Sweet Pea Fragrance Oil (approximately 1-2%)
Isopropyl alcohol (99%) in a spray bottle
Equipment
Rectangle silicone soap mould
Microwave-safe jug or double boiler
Silicone spatula
Thermometer (optional)
Instructions
Cut the melt & pour soap base into small cubes.
Melt half of the soap base slowly in the microwave using 20-30 second bursts, stirring between each burst until completely melted.
Add a small amount of pink mica or pink dye and stir until the colour is even.
Add half of the Pink Sweet Pea Fragrance Oil and stir gently to avoid creating bubbles.
Pour the first pink layer into the mould. Spray the surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove bubbles.
Allow the layer to cool until a firm skin forms. It should still be slightly warm.
Melt the remaining soap base. Leave it uncoloured (white) and add the remaining Pink Sweet Pea Fragrance Oil.
Spray the pink layer with isopropyl alcohol before pouring the white layer. This helps the layers bond together.
Pour the white layer slowly over the back of a spoon to prevent disturbing the first layer. Spray with alcohol to remove bubbles.
Allow the soap to cool completely for 2-4 hours before unmoulding.
Cut into neat rectangular bars if using a loaf mould.
Wrap each bar immediately in plastic wrap or shrink wrap to prevent glycerine dew.
Tips
Keep the pouring temperature around 55-60°C to avoid melting the previous layer.
Always spray each layer with isopropyl alcohol before adding the next layer to ensure a strong bond.
For a brighter pink, add mica gradually until you reach the desired shade.
Pink Sweet Pea Fragrance Oil creates a beautiful soft floral scent that’s perfect for gifts, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or everyday luxury soaps.
