Lightweight Heat Protectant Serum

This lightweight silicone serum is suitable for Type 1C to 2A hair. It helps improve slip, reduce frizz, minimise friction during styling, add shine, and reduce moisture loss when using heat styling tools.

Ingredients

• Cyclopentasiloxane (SF1202) – 89.5 g (89.5%)
• Dimethicone DX350 – 8 g (8%)
• Argan Oil – 2 g (2%)
• Vitamin E – 0.5 g (0.5%)

Total: 100 g

Method

1. Ensure all equipment and containers are clean and completely dry.
2. Add the Cyclopentasiloxane to a clean beaker.
3. Add the Dimethicone DX350 and stir gently until fully blended.
4. Add the Argan Oil and Vitamin E and mix until the serum is clear and uniform.
5. Pour into a clean pump bottle or serum bottle.

Directions

Apply 2–4 drops to the mid-lengths and ends of damp hair before blow-drying.

For straightening or curling, apply 1–2 drops to dry hair before using your styling tool.

Avoid applying directly to the scalp or roots.

Storage

Store in a tightly closed container away from direct sunlight and heat.

Notes

• This is an anhydrous (water-free) formula, so no preservative is required.
• Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant to help protect the argan oil from oxidation. It is not a preservative.
• This serum provides lightweight conditioning, improves combability, reduces frizz, and helps reduce moisture loss during heat styling.
• While it offers moderate heat protection, it is not equivalent to salon-grade heat protectants that contain specialised heat-protective polymers such as amodimethicone or polyquaternium-55.
