DIY Herbal Lip Balm

Creating a herbal lip balm allows you to infuse natural properties into a soothing and protective balm for your lips.

 2 tbsp bees wax
 1 tbsp cocoa butter
 1 tbsp shea butter
 1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp herb infused oil (see instructions below)
10 drops lavender essential oil or oil of choice *optional*

In a double boiler (or I like to use a large glass measuring cup in a saucepan with water), add beeswax and cocoa butter, stirring until melted.
Add shea and coconut oil and stir until melted.
Remove from heat and add herb infused oil and essential oil.
Add any coloring like beet root powder, alkanet root powder, hibiscus powder, etc.
Pour into lip balm tubes and allow to cool – to avoid the hole in your lip balm, try to almost overfill containers.

    Hello Fun With Soap Team
Is it really necessary for the Herb Infused Oil in this recipe?
Asking as I would like to make my own infused oil in the future. I need a lip balm recipe now.
    Many thanks
