Castille Soap with Coconut Oil

Castile soap is known for being a gentle and natural soap made primarily from olive oil. While it doesn’t produce a very bubbly lather compared to some other soaps, it is effective for cleaning. If you want to enhance the lathering properties and add some moisturizing benefits to your castile soap, you can consider adding coconut oil.

Here’s a simple recipe to make a coconut oil-enriched castile soap:

Castile soap (liquid or grated bar)
 Coconut oil
 Distilled water
 Essential oils (optional for fragrance)
1.Grate the Castile Soap (if using a bar).f you’re using a bar of castile soap, grate it finely. This will help it dissolve more easily when mixed with other ingredients.
Measure Ingredients:
2.For every cup of grated castile soap or every cup of liquid castile soap, you can add about 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil. The exact amount can be adjusted based on your preferences.
Combine Ingredients:
3.In a bowl, mix the grated castile soap or liquid castile soap with the coconut oil. Stir the mixture well.
Add Distilled Water:
4.Gradually add distilled water to the mixture while stirring. Add water until you achieve the desired consistency. Keep in mind that adding too much water may dilute the soap.
Blend Well:
If you have an immersion blender, you can use it to blend the ingredients thoroughly. This will help create a smooth and well-mixed soap.
Optional: Add Essential Oils:
5.If you want to add fragrance to your soap, you can incorporate a few drops of your favorite essential oils. Stir well to distribute the fragrance evenly.
Transfer to a Container:
6.Pour the mixture into a soap dispenser or container of your choice.
7.Allow to Set
8.Let the soap mixture sit for a few hours or overnight to allow the ingredients to meld together.
Usage:
9.Use your coconut oil-enriched castile soap just like regular soap. Enjoy the enhanced lather and moisturizing benefits.

Keep in mind that the lather produced by this soap may still not be as bubbly as commercial soaps that contain synthetic foaming agents. However, the addition of coconut oil should contribute to a creamier lather and add moisturizing properties to the soap.
