GENTLE INTIMATE SYNDET BAR

500 g Batch

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) — 250 g

Cocamidopropyl Betaine — 75 g

Stearic Acid — 50 g

Cetyl Alcohol — 40 g

Glycerine — 50 g

Distilled Water — 30 g

Euxyl PE 9010 — 4 g

Citric Acid Solution — q.s. to pH 4.5–5.0

TOTAL — 499 g + citric acid solution

METHOD

1. Sanitise all equipment and utensils.
2. Mix the SCI, stearic acid and cetyl alcohol together.
3. Add the glycerine and Cocamidopropyl Betaine gradually.
4. Add the distilled water and mix thoroughly.
5. Heat gently in a double boiler while mixing until the mixture becomes soft and homogeneous. Do not overheat.
6. Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
7. Add Euxyl PE 9010 and mix thoroughly.
8. Check the pH using a suitable pH-testing method.
9. Adjust carefully with diluted citric acid solution until the measured pH is approximately 4.5–5.0.
10. Knead the mixture until uniform.
11. Press firmly into moulds.
12. Allow the bars to cool and harden completely before removing from the moulds.
13. Allow the bars to dry/cure until they have reached a firm, stable consistency before packaging.

IMPORTANT

No fragrance. No essential oils. No colourants. For external vulval cleansing only. Do not use inside the vagina.
