Soap Confetti Recipe
Ingredients
500 g Melt & Pour Soap Base
Soap colourants
Fragrance oil (optional)
Method
Melt and colour the soap.
Pour into a silicone mould or shallow tray approximately 5–10 mm thick.
Allow to harden completely.
Remove from the mould.
Using a cheese grater or coarse grater, grate the soap into colourful flakes.
Mix several colours together for a confetti effect.
How to Use
In Melt & Pour Soap
Sprinkle onto the surface before the soap sets.
Stir gently into melted soap before pouring into moulds.
In Cold Process Soap
Add at light trace.
Use at 2–10% of the total soap weight for colourful speckles.
In Bath Products
Decorate bath bombs.
Add to whipped soap.
Use on soap cupcakes.
Package in jars or sachets as decorative soap confetti.
Tips
Use bright colours for a fun confetti effect.
White soap base gives pastel shades, while clear soap base creates vibrant translucent colours.
Avoid adding too much fragrance, as the sprinkles are mainly decorative.
Keep the finished sprinkles dry and sealed to prevent them from sticking together.
These soap sprinkles and confetti are a great way to add colour and visual interest to handmade soaps while also making use of leftover soap from previous projects.
