Moisturising Leave-In Conditioner (Natural Hair)

Phase A – Water Phase

  • Distilled Water – 58% (290g)
  • Aloe Vera Liquid – 10% (50g)
  • Vegetable Glycerine – 3% (15g)

Phase B – Oil Phase

  • BTMS-25 – 8% (40g)
  • Shea Butter – 5% (25g)
  • Coconut Oil or Baobab Oil – 5% (25g)
  • Sweet Almond Oil – 4% (20g)

Phase C – Cool Down Phase

  • D-Panthenol – 2% (10g)
  • Preservative (Kemaben) – 1% (5g)
  • Fragrance / Essential Oil – 0.5–1% (2.5–5g)

Method

  • Heat Phase A and Phase B separately to ±70°C
  • Pour Phase B into Phase A and blend until smooth
  • Stir while cooling
  • Below 40°C, add Phase C
  • Check pH (4.5–5.5)
  • Package

What to Expect

  • Soft, creamy texture
  • Light conditioning with good moisture
  • Easy curl application

Optional Tweaks

  • More moisture: increase glycerine to 4%
  • Richer feel: increase shea butter to 6–7%
  • Lighter texture: reduce oils by 1–2%
  • Extra slip: add 1–2% cetyl alcohol
