Luxury Honey & Oat Melt and Pour Soap Recipe

Makes: Approximately 1kg soap

Difficulty: Beginner Friendly

Ingredients:

1kg Melt and Pour Soap Base (clear, white, goat milk, or shea base)

10ml Milk and Honey Fragrance

A few drops yellow water soluble dye

1 tbsp colloidal oats or finely ground oatmeal

Bubble go spray

Soap moulds

Method:

Cut the melt and pour soap base into small cubes.

Melt slowly using short microwave bursts or a double boiler. Avoid overheating, as excessive heat can cause sweating and reduce clarity.

Once melted, allow the base to cool slightly before adding fragrance and additives.

Add fragrance oil, colourant, oats, honey, and optional glycerine. Stir gently to avoid bubbles.

Spray moulds lightly with bubble go spray.

Pour soap into moulds and spray the top with bubble go spray to remove surface bubbles.

Leave to cool completely for 2–4 hours.

Unmould and wrap immediately to prevent glycerine dew/sweating.

Tips:

Wrap finished bars quickly to maintain appearance and reduce sweating.
