WHIPPED SHOWER CREAM SCRUB

A luxurious whipped cleansing scrub that gently exfoliates while cleansing the skin. The creamy texture makes it easy to scoop from a jar and massage onto wet skin.

FORMULA – 1 KG

PHASE A – CLEANSING BASE

Distilled Water – 430 g

Glycerine – 30 g

Xanthan Gum – 3 g

PHASE B – SURFACTANTS

Lauryl Glucoside – 150 g

Coco Glucoside – 100 g

Decyl Glucoside – 100 g

Lamesoft PO 65 – 50 g

PHASE C – EXFOLIATION & CONDITIONING

Fine Sugar – 120 g

Jojoba Oil – 5 g

PHASE D – COOL DOWN

Euxyl PE 9010 – 10 g

Fragrance Oil – 2 g

Water-Soluble Dye – q.s.

Citric Acid Solution – q.s. to adjust pH

TOTAL – 1,000 g

METHOD

1. Sanitise all equipment, utensils and containers before starting.
2. Mix the glycerine and xanthan gum together to form a smooth slurry.
3. Add the distilled water slowly while mixing until the xanthan gum is fully hydrated.
4. Add Lauryl Glucoside, Coco Glucoside and Decyl Glucoside slowly. Stir gently to avoid creating excessive foam.
5. Add Lamesoft PO 65 and mix gently until completely incorporated.
6. Add the jojoba oil and mix well.
7. Allow the mixture to stand until most of the foam has settled.
8. Add Euxyl PE 9010 and mix thoroughly.
9. Add your cosmetic fragrance and mix gently.
10. Add a small amount of cosmetic water-soluble dye if colour is desired.
11. Check the pH. Adjust gradually with a suitable citric acid solution until the finished product reaches approximately pH 5.0–5.5.
12. Finally, add the fine sugar slowly and mix gently until evenly distributed.
13. Allow the product to stand and de-aerate before filling into clean jars.

HOW TO USE

Scoop a small amount onto wet skin and gently massage in circular movements. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not use on broken or irritated skin.

Because this formulation contains water, it requires an appropriate broad-spectrum preservative. Euxyl PE 9010 should be used according to the supplier’s recommended usage rate and technical documentation.

Record the batch number, date made, ingredients, percentages, pH and any adjustments made during production.
