Goat Milk Activated Charcoal & Tea Tree Melt & Pour Soap Recipe
Makes: 1 kg (approximately 10 × 100 g soap bars)
Ingredients
- 1 kg Goat Milk Melt & Pour Soap Base
- 10 g Activated Charcoal Powder
- 10 ml Tea Tree Essential Oil
- 5 ml Vitamin E Oil (optional)
- Bubble Go Spray
Equipment
- Heatproof jug
- Microwave or double boiler
- Silicone spatula
- Digital scale
- Silicone soap mould
Method
- Cut the Goat Milk Melt & Pour Soap Base into small cubes.
- Melt the soap base slowly in the microwave using 30-second bursts, or in a double boiler. Do not allow it to boil.
- Mix the Activated Charcoal Powder with a small amount of melted soap until smooth and free of lumps.
- Stir the charcoal mixture into the remaining melted soap.
- Allow the soap to cool slightly to approximately 55–60°C.
- Add the Tea Tree Essential Oil and Vitamin E Oil (if using) and stir gently until well combined.
- Lightly spray your silicone soap mould with Bubble Go Spray.
- Pour the soap into the mould.
- Spray the surface with Bubble Go Spray to remove any bubbles.
- Leave the soap to cool and harden for 2–4 hours.
- Remove from the mould and wrap immediately in cling film or shrink wrap to help prevent the soap from sweating.
