Men’s Natural Face Wash

A gentle, sulfate-free facial cleanser with a smooth gel texture, suitable for all skin types. This formula is thickened with Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) instead of xanthan gum.

Batch Size

500 g (approximately 500 ml)

Phase A

• Distilled Water – 387 g
• Vegetable Glycerine – 25 g
• Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) – 3 g

Phase B

• Coco Glucoside – 45 g
• Decyl Glucoside – 25 g
• Lamesoft PO 65 – 7.5 g

Phase C

• D-Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) – 5 g
• Hydrolysed Wheat Protein – 2.5 g
• Tea Tree Essential Oil – 1.5 g
• Cedarwood Essential Oil – 1 g
• Euxyl K712 – 7.5 g

pH Adjustment

• Citric Acid Solution – As required to adjust the pH to 5.0–5.5.

Method

1. Sanitize all equipment, utensils and bottles.
2. Mix the glycerine and Hydroxyethylcellulose together to form a smooth slurry.
3. Slowly add the distilled water while stirring continuously.
4. Allow the mixture to hydrate for 20–30 minutes until a smooth gel forms.
5. Gently stir in the Coco Glucoside, Decyl Glucoside and Lamesoft PO 65. Mix slowly to avoid excessive foaming.
6. Add the D-Panthenol, Hydrolysed Wheat Protein and Euxyl K712. Stir until well combined.
7. Blend the Tea Tree and Cedarwood essential oils together, then add to the cleanser and mix gently.
8. Check the pH and adjust to between 5.0 and 5.5 using a diluted citric acid solution.
9. Bottle into clean pump or flip-top bottles.
