Professional Manufacturing Method
- Sanitize all equipment and ensure that all jars are completely dry.
- Melt the shea butter and cocoa butter together at 65–70°C.
- Add the coconut oil and stir until completely melted.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the jojoba oil, castor oil and sweet almond oil.
- Allow the mixture to cool to 40–45°C.
- Add the vitamin E and fragrance oil and mix thoroughly.
- Allow the mixture to cool further until it becomes opaque and slightly thickened.
- Whip for 2–4 minutes until a light, smooth texture is achieved.
- Fill the prepared jars and allow the product to set for 12–24 hours.
Why These Corrections?
• Vitamin E is added below 45°C to minimise unnecessary heat exposure.
• Whipping should only begin once the mixture becomes opaque and slightly thickened. This helps the product hold enough air to create a lighter, creamier texture.
• No preservative is required because the formula is completely anhydrous (water-free). However, excellent manufacturing hygiene is essential.
• A realistic shelf life is approximately 12 months, provided the oils are fresh and the finished product is stored away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight.,
