Mother’s Day Gift Recipe Collection
1. Rose & Vanilla Whipped Body Butter (100 g)
Ingredients
- Shea Butter – 45 g
- Cocoa Butter – 25 g
- Sweet Almond Oil – 20 g
- Jojoba Oil – 8 g
- Vitamin E – 1 g
- Rose & Vanilla Fragrance Oil – 1 g
Method
- Melt the shea butter and cocoa butter together over a double boiler.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E.
- Place the mixture in the refrigerator until it begins to thicken but is not completely solid.
- Whip with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add the fragrance oil and whip for another minute.
- Spoon into a clean 100 g jar.
2. Rose Bath Salts (500 g)
Ingredients
- Epsom Salt – 250 g
- Coarse Sea Salt – 200 g
- Himalayan Pink Salt – 50 g
- Sweet Almond Oil – 5 g
- Rose Fragrance Oil or Rose Geranium Essential Oil – 3–5 g
- Dried Rose Petals – 5 g (optional)
Method
- Combine all the salts in a large bowl.
- Mix the fragrance oil with the sweet almond oil.
- Pour over the salts and stir until evenly coated.
- Add the dried rose petals if desired.
- Package in airtight jars.
3. Lavender Pillow & Linen Spray (100 g)
Ingredients
- Distilled Water – 90 g
- PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil – 6 g
- Lavender Essential Oil – 2 g
- Roman Chamomile Essential Oil – 1 g
- Euxyl PE 9010 – 1 g
Method
- Mix the PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil with the essential oils until completely clear.
- Slowly stir in the distilled water.
- Add Euxyl PE 9010 and mix thoroughly.
- Bottle in a fine mist spray bottle.
- Shake gently before each use.
4. Honey Lip Balm (50 g)
Ingredients
- Beeswax – 15 g
- Shea Butter – 10 g
- Cocoa Butter – 5 g
- Sweet Almond Oil – 18.5 g
- Vitamin E – 0.5 g
- Honey Flavour Oil – 1 g
Method
- Melt the beeswax, shea butter and cocoa butter.
- Remove from the heat.
- Stir in the sweet almond oil, vitamin E and honey flavour oil.
- Pour into lip balm tubes or tins.
- Allow to cool completely before capping.
5. Rose Hand Cream (100 g)
Water Phase
- Distilled Water – 71 g
- Glycerine – 3 g
Oil Phase
- Sweet Almond Oil – 10 g
- Shea Butter – 5 g
- Emulsifying Wax NF – 6 g
Cool Down Phase
- Cornstarch – 2 g (optional)
- Vitamin E – 1 g
- Rose Fragrance Oil – 1 g
- Euxyl PE 9010 – 1 g
Method
- Heat the water phase and oil phase separately to approximately 70–75°C.
- Pour the oil phase into the water phase while mixing continuously.
- Blend until a smooth emulsion forms.
- Stir occasionally while cooling.
- Below 40°C, add the cool-down ingredients and mix well.
- Fill into clean jars or tubes.
6. Rose Sugar Scrub (250 g)
Ingredients
- Fine White Sugar – 177 g
- Sweet Almond Oil – 50 g
- Fractionated Coconut Oil – 10 g
- Emulsifying Wax NF – 8 g
- Vitamin E – 1 g
- Rose Fragrance Oil – 1 g
- Euxyl PE 9010 – 3 g
Method
- Melt the emulsifying wax.
- Stir in the sweet almond oil and fractionated coconut oil.
- Add the vitamin E, fragrance oil and preservative.
- Fold the oil mixture into the sugar until evenly combined.
- Package in wide-mouth jars.
7. Rose Lotion Bars (100 g)
Ingredients
- Beeswax – 35 g
- Shea Butter – 35 g
- Sweet Almond Oil – 28 g
- Vitamin E – 1 g
- Rose Fragrance Oil – 1 g
Method
- Melt the beeswax and shea butter together.
- Stir in the sweet almond oil.
- Remove from the heat and add the vitamin E and fragrance oil.
- Pour into silicone moulds.
- Leave to harden completely before unmoulding.
8. Floral Soy Wax Melts (100 g)
Ingredients
- Soy Wax – 94 g
- Fragrance Oil – 6 g
Method
- Melt the soy wax according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Allow the wax to cool to the recommended fragrance addition temperature.
- Stir in the fragrance oil for 1–2 minutes.
- Pour into silicone moulds.
- Allow to cure for at least 24–48 hours before packaging.
