Oil-Based Makeup Remover Recipe using Technical Oil and Wheat Germ Oil
Oil Makeup Remover Recipe (100g Batch)
Ingredients:
Technical Oil (cosmetic grade) – 70g
Wheat Germ Oil – 20g
Polysorbate 80 (helps it rinse off easier) – 8g
Vitamin E – 1g
Fragrance or essential oil (optional) – 1g
Method:
Sanitize all equipment and containers.
Add the Technical Oil and Wheat Germ Oil into a clean beaker.
Add Polysorbate 80 and mix well.
Add Vitamin E and optional fragrance.
Stir until uniform.
Pour into a pump bottle or flip-top bottle.
How to Use:
Apply to dry skin with dry hands.
Massage over makeup.
Add a little water to emulsify (turn milky).
Wipe away or rinse off.
Why this works:
Technical Oil dissolves waterproof makeup effectively.
Wheat Germ Oil adds nourishment and softness.
Polysorbate 80 improves rinse-off and reduces greasy feel.
Vitamin E helps slow oxidation of the oils.
Notes:
Because this recipe is anhydrous (contains no water), a preservative is generally not required.
Wheat Germ Oil has a shorter shelf life, so keep away from heat and sunlight.
Avoid making claims like “treats acne” or “heals skin.”
For a lighter, less oily remover, I can also give you a bi-phase (oil + water) version.
