Firming Body Cream

Phase A – Water Phase

  • Distilled Water – 645 g (64.5%)
  • Glycerine – 40 g (4%)

Phase B – Oil Phase

  • Emulsifying Wax NF – 60 g (6%)
  • Cetyl Alcohol – 30 g (3%)
  • Sweet Almond Oil – 80 g (8%)
  • Grapeseed Oil – 50 g (5%)
  • Shea Butter – 30 g (3%)

Phase C – Cool Down Phase (Below 40°C)

  • Niacinamide – 40 g (4%)
  • Vitamin E – 5 g (0.5%)
  • Euxyl PE 9010 – 10 g (1%)

Essential Oil Blend (0.5%)

  • Cypress Essential Oil – 2 g
  • Grapefruit FCF Essential Oil – 1.5 g
  • Juniper Berry Essential Oil – 0.75 g
  • Rosemary Essential Oil – 0.75 g

Total Batch Size: 1,000 g


Method

  1. Combine the distilled water and glycerine (Phase A) and heat to 70–75°C.
  2. In a separate vessel, combine the emulsifying wax NF, cetyl alcohol, sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil and shea butter (Phase B). Heat to 70–75°C until completely melted.
  3. Pour Phase B into Phase A while mixing with a stick blender or high-shear mixer.
  4. Blend for 2–3 minutes until a smooth emulsion forms, then continue stirring gently while cooling.
  5. When the temperature reaches below 40°C, add the niacinamide, vitamin E, Euxyl PE 9010 and essential oil blend. Mix thoroughly until completely uniform.
  6. Check the pH and adjust if necessary to 5.5–6.0.
  7. Fill into clean, sanitised jars or airless pump bottles and allow the cream to stand for 24 hours before use.

Directions for Use

Massage into clean skin on the thighs, hips, buttocks, abdomen or upper arms twice daily using firm, circular upward motions until fully absorbed.
